"Lukas and I met Nico in the Balsa Surf House in Ecuador in August 2019. We are/were both far from yoga-affine, but wanted to give it a try again.
Nico does the right mix for every level within the same class. As a supplementary to surfing his style of Yoga made me less sore from paddling and there was always a great feeling of tranquility and lightness after the class, even though some exercises were really tough.
In general it has been an absolute pleasure to cross Nico‘s path, who is a wonderful, open human being and brings a different approach and vibe to people being absorbed by thoughts about work.

"Meeting Nico in August 2019 in Montañita, Ecuador, showed me again why I love traveling so much. Coming from a business background, it was incredibly refreshing to be reminded that there is so much more out there than just numbers and performance.
Nico's yoga sessions showed me how vital it is to open our eyes to the beauty that surrounds us and to listen to our inner voice. Especially his cacao ceremony which we celebrated on my last evening was something very special and liberating for me.

Conocí a Nicolas en Agosto 2019 durante mi estadía en Balsa Surf-Montañita-Ecuador.
Puedo asegurar que es un ser con una energía maravillosa, es encantador! Estuve en 3 clases de Yoga, por cierto la última clase, por ser a su vez su última clase en el hotel, fue absolutamente espectacular, emotiva y muy especial!!!
Nicolas siempre busca la forma más adecuada de que entiendas y logres tu objetivo en cada práctica. Yoga es una disciplina que ayuda a tu mente, cuerpo y espíritu, y si además eres orientado por un ser como Nicolas lograrás lo que te propongas en la vida.

"I met Nicolas at Balsa Surf Camp in Montañita in Aug 2019 through the yoga classes he was facilitating. The Yoga was just perfect; Nicolas ensured that all of us (regardless of yoga experience) were accommodated. The classes were the perfect balance of power and recovery meaning that unlike yoga I've done before I was able to come back every day.
What I most enjoyed though was getting to know Nicolas both through the yoga and also through the interactions we had around Balsa. His travels, stories and perspective on life are refreshing and it was a pleasure sharing my experience at Balsa with him.

"I met Nicolas during his stay in Fukui, Japan, from 2014 to 2015. He was substituting our regular English teacher who was on maternity leave. I expected to meet just another English teacher who would come and go soon.
In fact, he came and was gone soon, but unlike other teachers, he left indelible footsteps on the soil of Fukui as well as unforgettable memories in the hearts of people who got to know him. Since I was a photography lover, his English class sometimes was transformed into a photography class, in which he taught me the basic techniques, and we enjoyed taking portraits of other students together.
One of my unforgettable memories with Nicolas was the midnight cherry blossoms photo shooting. Fukui is famous for its beautiful cherry trees, and one day after the night class, we drove to the riverside cherry blossom spot and started shooting photos. As cherry blossoms were so beautiful, we lost track of time and kept taking pictures till midnight! We tried to take our own portraits in long-exposure mode, and I still remember his frozen and panicky smile when he tried to stay still for a minute or so under the cherry tree. He was on a slippery slope and no matter how hard he tried to stay still, he couldn’t help slowly sliding off the ground under the cherry tree.
The other one was the special photo session we had together with three of my female friends as models. They were all amateurs, so naturally they got super nervous and at first, it was tough to relax them. But since we were all good friends, after cracking some jokes they relaxed and started to give us natural and beautiful smiles. We made photo books out of them and they still have them respectively. This photo session would never have happened without Nicolas, who was my inspiration.
His way of life and experiences, as well as his inner strength and warmth, inspired not only me but also everyone he touched. And I believe he will continue to do so wherever he travels to and stays in. Soon, the planet earth will be fully covered by fans of Nicolas. When that happens, I bet he’ll head to the moon next. Go for it Nicolas, may force be with you!"

"I thank the power of the universe for allowing me to meet Nicolas, when he was travelling through Nepal. He was working as an English teacher in my college, back in 2013.
Right from the get-go, I easily was able to sense the unique aura that he carried. For someone like me who was coincidentally starting to learn back then about spiritual well-being, it was indeed very powerful and satisfying even to be able to take in that realization.
Being very professional and knowledgeable in matters related to work (teaching) was just one small trait that I could notice immediately in him. But, of course, that was not only it. He had this overwhelmingly special energy in him that he later slowly started passing on, in our regretfully brief chats in between the college hours. If only I could have managed more time, I would be so even more happier today I feel.
Nicolas has not only been a good English teacher, far from just that! Though we only managed to spend very little time together, he is a huge inspiration in life that when I even just remember of, brings sheer joy and motivation to keep pushing forward spiritually, to love and care for everything around. This is strong! Experiences like this come very seldom in life and I thank Nicolas for this extravagant experience!

Nicolas is a great person not only because of the great many things he teaches or the life he touches but because he is a travelling child of this world who is always hungry to learn and discover great many people around the world and make friends.
