Are You a Teacher on the Road?
I believe we are all teachers in some ways for the concept goes far beyond the "official" status of either being a "teacher" or a "student". One cannot got without the other in our ultimate quest of freedom and always trying to find a balance of all universal concepts.
We learn new things on a daily basis whether we are aware of it or not. Vagabonding around the globe teaches us that we can run into a "random" person for 5 minutes and the impact of this encounter can change our life forever because we feel like we have learnt, shared and absorbed more energy and information than during an entire year of having a more conventional routine, as it has happened to all of us at some stage. Yet, this kind of comparisons is quite odious to me.
We cannot be passionate teachers if we are not dedicated students and vice versa and I would not have become a teacher if I had not asked the "right" questions at some point in order to get the "right" answers. On the other hand, there is no "right" or "wrong" and I think I have become an appreciated teacher because I have especially learnt how to Listen; not in order to reply to my interlocutors but to Understand them by being at the same energetical level and therefore never above nor below them, which is why I have hardly ever been able to identify myself with any conventional or institutional structures and kept myself distant from them even when I had the opportunity to "prosper" in them. Because again, "success" is a very relative precept and prospering is only relevant to me when considered at a human AND spiritual level at the same level.
This is why I would love to create the Teacher on the Road community.
